Comissio Reports

Agent Balance by Issuer

The Agent Balance by Issuer report displays for each Issuer the Agent Balance or total Debit balance. The Agent Balance is the sum of all the Advances, plus any Agent Balance imported amounts, less recovered amounts on Advances (Advance Recovery), less Chargebacks, and less the effect of Adjustments where Agent Balance was checked. The total Balance reflected in the report should equal the Ending Agent Balance in the Summary of the last closed cycle.

Adjustments with Agent Balance checked but no Issuer was added, and Agent Balance imports where an Issuer was not listed are not tied to an Issuer will show up under a row for ‘No Issuer Associated.’

Also, under ‘No Issuer Associated’ there can be values for Balance Increase and Net Increase. These are added to provide information on two scenarios, one where there is not enough net, and one where there is not enough Agent Balance.

  1. When Net would have gone negative: If an Agents total net in a cycle would go below zero, the system instead will increase the Agent Balance. This can occur when there are Transactions with negative Premium amounts for percentage-based commissions, or a negative Member Count, for fixed amount-based commission. Net cannot be below zero, so Agent Balance is increased. The amount from this scenario can be displayed in the Summary of the cycle after it has been closed in a field labeled ‘Balance Increase.’
  2. When Agent Balance would have gone negative: This can happen if an Agent Balance has been reduced by an Adjustment and a cycle generates Advance Recovery greater than their Agent Balance. The Ending Agent balance in a cycle cannot go negative, so the amount that would have been below zero is instead converted to increase the Net amount. The amount from this scenario can be displayed in the Summary of the cycle after it has been closed in a field labeled ‘Net Increase.’

For research into any value for Balance Increase or Net increase, see the details under the columns with the same names in the Commission Summary History by Agent Report.

Agent Custom Settings

The Agent Custom Settings report shows the Custom Settings of an Agent. Custom Settings allow an Agent to have different Commission details apply other than the standard Commission Rates or default Agent values. Settings can be created based on Issuer and Product Type for Advance Months, As Earned, Alternate Contract, and Alternate Upline. The csv export of this report can also be used as a template for the Agent Custom Settings import if the column for Agent Name is removed from the file.

Agent Appointment Summary

The Agent Appointment Summary report displays details of Agent Appointments. Appointments are used as a crosswalk in imports to go from an Issuer’s Writing Agent ID they have for an Agent, and the Comissio Agent ID. If an agent has appointment for Issuer 1 and has a custom setting for that issuer with Alternate Contract and alt upline, the report should display info from custom settings. The report also has a column for Forfeit Commission displaying with Y and N to indicate that option has been checked in the Appointment for the Agent.

If an Upline value is entered for a search, it will display:

  • Appointment records that belong to the Agent that was entered as the Upline ID
  • Appointment records for the Upline Agent’s downline that are tied by their Upline value in Agent Details
  • Appointment records of the Upline Agent’s downline that are tied by their Alternate Upline in Agent Settings

Agent/Org License List by Agent ID

The Agent/org License List by Agent ID report will help track all the licenses associated with the agents entered into Comissio. Agents and brokers must be licensed in their states and must have signed agreements to sell health plans, and Comissio can be used to track the licenses.

Agent/Org License List by Agent ID report

Agent/Org List by Agent ID

The Agent/Org List by Agent ID will display details on the Agents and the Organizations. Included in the filters is a Start Date (From – To) and depending on the start date of Agents added to the system, may need to be changed to capture all Agents.

The export from this report can be used as a template to add or update Agents in Comissio, but two columns, Top Level Manager ID and Top Level Manager Name must be deleted first. The Top Level Manager is the level one down for the top, so if Agents from Writing Agent up are 1,2,3,4, it would be 3.

Agent Credit List

The Agent Credit List report displays Agent Credits assigned in Commission cyles. See the section for Agent Credits for complete details on Agent Credits.

Policy Commission Distribution

This report displays the Commission Distribution of Policies by Issuer. As the number of Policies can be large, and the lines in the Commission Distribution includes for every Agent in the hierarchy of that Policy, it is restricted by Issuer to reduce the size of the results.

The results from existing Commission Distributions can be exported using this report, changes can be made to that file, and then that file can be imported to make changes.

This report does not pick up the Commission Distribution from Policies that do not yet have a saved Distribution. The Commission Distribution does not get saved in a Policy unless it was imported, edited and saved, or gone through at least one Commission Cycle.

There is a separate version of the report, ‘Policy Commission Distribution MAPD & PDP’ which is to be used for those Policies with Product Types Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription. The current report will not have those two Product Types for selections. See the User Guide that is specific for Medicare for more information..

Commission History by Policy or Agent

This report provides information from the Results page in Commission Cycles. To improve performance, it is required to enter at least one of the following: starting and ending date, from 1 to 5 Agents, or 1 to 5 Policy numbers. Other filters are by Issuer, Agent ID, Product Type, Upline ID, or Plan Name. If Upline ID is used, it will show you all Agents that are downline from the selected Agent ID, and not just the Agents that directly report to that Upline ID. As there are more columns that fit on a page, the scroll bar must be used to see all columns, or the results exported for analysis.

Note: This report has been updated for Commissions Policies with Product Types Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription that are different than commissions for other Product Types. Fields have been added for Street and Override used for Medicare commissions but will be populated with $0.00 or zero when the Policy is not one of the two Medicare Product Types. See the User Guide that is specific for Medicare for more information.

Commission Plan Rates

This report displays Commission Rates that have been created against the Contracts in the system which are used to provide rates to the commission calculation. As there can be multiple columns for the From and To intervals and associated percentage or fixed rates, the scroll bar needs to be used to display the complete results displayed on a page.

The Plan Rate report results can be exported, changes can be made to that file, and then imported to make changes in existing Commission Rates. When re-importing rates to make changes, the Effective Date (from) must match the Effective date in the existing Plan Rate.

There is a separate version of the report, ‘Commission Plan Rates MAPD & PDP’ which is to be used for those Policies with Product Types Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription. The current report will not have those two Product Types for selections. See the User Guide that is specific for Medicare for more information.
