Appointments are used as a crosswalk for imports. Issuers often assign their own Writing Agent ID. Having an appointment table means that Policies from multiple Issuers for an Agent can be converted to be under one Comissio Agent ID. Appointments can also be created by an import.
There is also an option to activate a feature called Forfeit Commissions in the Appointment detail page. This option can be checked when the Appointment status is Terminated. When checked an adjustment will be created in a cycle to withhold commissions for the respective Issuer. See the section on Forfeit Commissions for more information.
