Failed Imports

If the Status of an Import is ‘Failed’ opening the results should display details on the reason for the failure.

The most common reason for a failed file is an incorrect Import Type was used for the file selected. For example, if the type selected was for Policies, but the file selected was for the Policy & Transaction Import. Going to the Results for the import should show details of fields that were missing or didn’t match.

The second most common reason for a failed file is that there was a change to the template, and an old template was used. Improvements can be made to add fields to existing import types. The results should provide information on missing columns, but it is best to download the template and compare it to the file. Then make changes to the file as needed and re-import.
