Medicare and Agent Statements
There are three major changes to Agent Statements related to MEDICARE compared to the display of information in non-MAPD information.
Different fields are displayed in the Commission Activity section.
The first change is the Commission Activity section when the Product Type is Medicare Advantage or Medicare Prescription have been changed to reflect the new Street and Override fields. The section for the Issuer > Product Type will still be broken down by New Enrollments and Recurring Business. The New Enrollments for MAPD/PDP will include all commissions for Initial and True-up, not just the first payment received. Recurring Business will display Street and Override renewal payments commissions.
Writing Agents will not see Commission lines where they do not receive commissions.
The second change is that if the Writing Agent is not receiving any commission (positive or negative) for a Policy, but commissions (Override) is being paid to Level 2+ Agents, a commission line will not be displayed in the Writing Agent’s Statement. In the reverse case, where the Writing Agent is getting paid for a Policy and the Level 2+ Agents are getting $0.00, those Level 2+ Agents will still see a line in their Statements so that they know that money was being paid to the Writing Agent.
CSV Statements for Commission Activity will contain fields for both MAPD/PDP Policies and non-MAPD.
The last change relating to Agents Statements is that the csv file for Commission Activity will contain all fields for both MAPD/PDP Policies and non-MAPD columns. Fields that are not needed for one type or another will be populated with $0, so for a Commission Activity line for a MAPD/PDP Policy, the fields for Premium and those used for Advances will have $0.00 populated. For non-MAPD Policy commission activity lines, the fields for Street and Override will be populated with $0.00.
