How do I import contacts? (IFP)
Instead of manually creating contacts and inputting them one by one, Quotit has an Excel template that can be downloaded and filled out to import contacts if you happen to have a large number of them.
To find this template go to your contacts page. You can get there by hovering over the Home/Individuals tab and clicking "Contacts". Or clicking the Home/Individuals tab and on the next page selecting "View Individual Contacts"
OR
Both options will bring you to your contacts page.
Once on this page scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. There is an Action bar.
On the drop down select "Import from Excel" then GO.
It will bring up this box:
You can download the import template from the top where is says (Click to View/Copy Import Template Here).
The bottom of the window has instructions. The first page of the Excel that downloads will also have instructions. They are as follows:
* Your import data should be in an excel file in the 97-2003 format (.xls).
* Do not add or remove any columns on the template.
* Firstname, Lastname, Gender, Date of Birth, Email, Phone Number AND Zip are required fields.
* If you want to include the contacts in Auto Responder, check the 'Include Contacts in Auto Responder' checkbox. (IN the window shown above, it is a check box just above the browse option).
Fill out the template you are given. Save it as instructed, then go back to that little window and click Browse. Find the file and upload. It will tell you if you have any failed contacts.
Note: You cannot rearrange or delete columns as the integrity of the template must be kept to import contacts correctly.
