How do I set a Phone Number for Call Recording?

Setting up Phone Number for Call Recording

*Note: Before setting up your Twilio number, ensure that you have the “Call Recording” feature enabled. You can easily check for this by looking at the top right of the Quotit menu and verifying that you have a phone icon (as pictured below).

**If you do NOT have this phone icon, please reach out to your Customer Success Representative or Implementation Specialist to make sure this feature is enabled for your account.

Setting up a Phone Number for Call Recording

  1. Click on the Phone icon to display a drop down list
  2. Select the first option for “Phone Settings”
  3. This will bring you to the Phone Integration Settings page
  4. Click on the ‘Setup’ button under ‘Integrated Phone Numbers for Call Recording’ to begin the setup process
  5. You will be provided with two (2) options for creating a new phone number for Call Recording:
    1. Search by Zip Code to generate a number OR
    2. Search by Area Code to generate a number
  6. If you decide to search by area code, simply type in the three (3) digit area code (*Note: do not use any parenthesis, just the three digits) and click search.
    1. After clicking the search button, a list of available numbers with the preferred area code will be displayed for you to choose from
    2. Use the radio button to make your selection. Once a selection is made the ‘Save’ button will not be enabled. Simply click the ‘Save’ button to confirm your selection and set this number as your Phone Number for Call Recording
  7. If you decide to search by zip code, simply type in the five (5) digit zip code and click search.
    1. After clicking the search button, a list of available numbers within the selected zip code will be displayed for you to choose from.
    2. Use the radio button to make your selection. Once a selection is made, simply click the ‘Save’ button to confirm your selection and set this number as your Phone Number for Call Recording.
  8.  Once you click Save you will receive a pop up asking you if you are sure that this is the number you want to save for SMS. Once saved, you will not be able to change or delete the number. If you are not ready to save this phone number for SMS click the Cancel button. Otherwise, click ‘Confirm’ to set phone number for SMS messaging .
  9. Once Saved you will receive a pop up notifying you that you have successfully saved SMS number
