Setting up Phone Number for SMS
- Click on the Phone icon to display a drop down list
- Select the first option for “Phone Settings”
- This will bring you to the Phone Integration Settings page
- Click on the ‘Setup’ button under ‘Integrated Phone Numbers for SMS’ to begin the setup process
- You will be provided with two (2) options for creating a new phone number for SMS:
- Search by Zip Code to generate a number OR
- Search by Area Code to generate a number
- If you decide to search by area code, simply type in the three (3) digit area code (*Note: do not use any parenthesis, just the three digits) and click search.
- Note: Area code will default to broker’s area code
- After clicking the search button, a list of available numbers with the preferred area code will be displayed for you to choose from
- Use the radio button to make your selection. Once a selection is made the ‘Save’ button will be enabled. Simply click the ‘Save’ button to confirm your selection and set this number as your Phone Number for SMS
- If you decide to search by zip code, simply type in the five (5) digit zip code and click search.
- Note: zip code will default to broker’s zip code
- After clicking the search button, a list of available numbers within the selected zip code will be displayed for you to choose from
- Use the radio button to make your selection. Once a selection is made, simply click the ‘Save’ button to confirm your selection and set this number as your Phone Number for SMS
- Once you click Save you will receive a pop up asking you if you are sure that this is the number you want to save for SMS. Once saved, you will not be able to change or delete the number. If you are not ready to save this phone number for SMS click the Cancel button. Otherwise, click ‘Confirm’ to set phone number for SMS messaging.
- Once Saved you will receive a pop up notifying you that you have successfully saved the SMS number
- When you close the notification, the number will be displayed as your selected Number for SMS
